what got you into the ford scene

My first ford was a 1.1 fiesta (although first car was a light blue 85'nova saloon) and it snowballed from there XR2s XR3s RS turbos usual route. Being from a more vechicle dominant family I suppose I could'nt miss. I started of work in a garage working on Hino lorries also Isuzu all japanese stuff back in the 80's.

Same as most, dad always had fords so followed with 1st car cortina then mk1 escort couple of xr3i's then saw a mk1 rs2000 at an auction which was mint and i got it for £750. Applied for log book and it came back for different car, lucky for me all tags been removed so kept it on age related plate. Next car was s1 which i owned for 8 years and now Luca owns and then my current escos which i have owned for 10 years so proper into me RS now

My Dad always had Fords, and my Mum had an XR2i when i was about 10, then i saw an Escort Cosworth on Police Camera Action and that was it lol

i always had fords started with xr3 then went on to rs turbos about 6 of them then cossies tried a few bm's etc but just always been into fords mainly went to ford fair when i was 17 with my first ford xr cabby also father in law and bro in law had ford rs turbos aswell then we all got saphs and was hooked went to most of the shows after that and still go to quite a few when im not fixing the bloody car

I grew up in a family run garage and one of my cousins had an S1 RST when they were new , i said from the moment i saw it that i'd have one and sure enough my fisrt ford was an S1 turbo , also one of our customers had a mercury grey S2 when i was about 13 , guess what my second fast ford was....... lol

Seeing the 3 doors when I was younger, a black one in particular was a right old dog with a V6 Granada engine in it after the Cosworth one was stolen, how it looked and how loud it was always made me want one.

My dad had a 1600E when I was 17, I really liked the car. I learned to drive in it and it was the first car I had sideways, (still 17)
