i suppose i've got my dad to thank like so many others, although he was well into his vw scirroccos...
he had two mk1's and later on a mk2, HUG 225T was technically my first car, a mk1 fezzy 1.1 which until i inherited it at 14/15 yrs old i hated the site of and whether it was raining or snowing, blowing a gale i would ride my bike to school just to avoid the humiliation of being seen in it!! - it was a tidy little yellow car until my old man sprayed the bottom half orange to hide the rust coming through
anyway as the scrapage sceme was some years off being invented and it was worth nothing to trade in mum and dad decided to give it to me to learn to drive in on my grand parents farm.... awesome!
so that was that really, ford it was! my first road going car was a mk2 fiesta holiday - which by the time i'd finished with it the only original thing was the boot lid!!! had a total of six accidents in that car including a head on colision(one of the three that was not my fault), i still say the mk2 is a bloody strong little car.
