Basically the same as the Mountune package which you could buy for the Focus ST/RS etc. from the dealer.
Yes all what you say is right!! But Wolf was not only a tuner he was/ is also a big Ford-Dealer! He sold the most of Cossieīs in Germany. You could got from him new series carīs and carīs with options witch he had tuned. I know it was given a limited edition over 100 cars only from a Saph with 120PS with leather trim and other wheels and spoiler packing. I didnt see any cosworth edition!

wolf worked with rudi eggenberger and loads of other cosworth specialists who bought parts off his company because he had ford money behind him and the very best parts available, wolf racing won the highest calibre touring car series the dtm german touring car championship title with a group a rs500 for ford germany and loads more so you can see they were ford motorsport germany

wolf isn't the same anymore hence why the cosworths he was involved with still are popular in europe where people appreciate the higher spec genuine wolf ford parts that were available over the standard boring stuff .

and the bit about wolfs being numbered isn't correct, wolf did number sierra cosworths and any records of escorts and parts were kept by him and only him.
Walter Wolf was not the Ford team boss but only the Wolf team boss! The other teams, Eggenberger and Grab were competitiors and didnt buy parts from Wolf, they developed it by themselfs. Also Wolf didnt win the dtm championchip, it was the team Grab with Klaus Ludwig.

Is there a wolf register or do they have a ltd numbe or is it on the logbook? How can you tell if A car is a genuine wolf apart from the extras?

No, no register and no limited number. I think one way to find out its a genuine wolf is watch in the service book for its should be stamped from Wolf as brand new car. Was the car reg in germany should be written any changes (wheels, suspension.....) as brand new car in the car licence.

who told you wolf racing didn't win the dtm ? they won the 1988 dtm team title outright winning 6 races. the winning driver was ludwig but the winning champion team was..........wolf rs500's
also wolf ran fords interest in german touring cars,i even had the guy who runs wolf now tell me wolf was running and building touring cars for ford germany.

another thing i had a american fella contact me about his german sierra cosworth in america that was a wolf and he showed me the plaque on the dash with the number on it and wolf emblem and what it had done,he said it had bilsteins with wolf stamped into them and 300kmh speedos and pedals and steering wheel etc and never realised what they were until i told him.

heres the wiki info on wolf as mentioned earlier .............

The team re-emerged during the 1980s as a Touring Car team as Ford Germany's representative in Group A competition. The team was not just a racing team but a constructor, building Ford Sierra RS500 cars for themselves, and for other teams either complete or in semi-built kit form. The team became a default choice for Sierra availability as output from other sources, Eggenberger Motorsport, Rousesport and Dick Johnson Racing was limited.

Walter Wolf was also involved in production cars, providing assistance to Lamborghini to develop the Countach as the Italian constructor teetered on the brink of bankruptcy.[2]

someone got mixed up with a doppelganger lol

now i have been told many storys about wolf and how his cars popped up around the world driven by other drivers than his own and teams who would claim they built it,even the fookin aussies drove wolfs cosworths lol

to be honest matey theres not a lot of info about wolf, people are more interested in aussie stuff and english stuff because they can understand whats written infront of them.
i find germans really unhelpfull towards british and the fact i have a car that should belong in germany the fatherland pisses them off

so there is confusion about what wolf did but he doesn't do anything about it,you never read stuff like a interview with him and i have read loads of stuff that like trackstar goode brodie brittain, rouse, johnson did etc, you never read about what happened with cosworths in japan or italy but fook me they were raced there alright.

my car belonged from new for ten years to the actual owner of two new and used ford main dealerships or what the germans call a Ford Handler which was not far from Wolfs Ford RS Dealership in Germany, why would you if you owned 2 of your own ford dealerships buy a car from Wolf when you had hundreds yourself and can supply your own, there again i have bought new unregistered cars from one dealer and sold them at another so its very possible wolf could of supplied new unregistered cosworths to other ford handlers

yep its got the steering wheel on the left side

and yes and no,all cosworths need valuing on merit, i'd say because the monte has the unusual interior they would be slightly less in value if the wolf has say red hex or unmarked leather.

all i can tell you is the wolf escorts i have seen in europe for sale are very expensive and at the highest end of the scale when it comes to values

Karl I think your handle should have been the the Wolfman!!

My Wolf escos has Wolf Racing on the ECU, the valve cover, and under the hood. It also came with the original paperwork from Wolf Ford & Wolf Racing with a dealership binder for the manual and a dyno sheet. Like others it has special Wolf pedals and steering wheel. Very cool German cossies

I don`t know where you get the information that Wolf won the dtm 1988. Klaus Ludwig won the driver championship with the team grab rs500 and team champion was bmw. Maybe Wolf was the best rs500 team but they didnīt win the championchip

Itīs that what I say, you could get from Wolf a lot of parts which he had developed. For example dashboards with 300km/h speedometer ( for sierra and escos ), bilstein submissions, rear muffler, steering wheels, gear knob, wheels, bumper (only sierra), lip fore the lower rearspoiler and 260hp and 300hp kits and other stuff. You could it order from a catalog or order together with a new car. But I didnīt saw a limited edition cossie from Wolf. Maybe it is possible that had given a edition but I donīt see one.
