I know that's the problem he hated his cot with a passion so we have came to the conclusion that until he is old enough to reason with we're just goin to take it as it comes , it's not easy tho mega strain on your relationship and working life due to lack of sleep
Having a bit of this with mrs little man , 17mths old. I get to play evil step dad lol
Just soon as he wakes I put him back in his bed , don't say a word just put him down .
Means getting him to bed can take 5 or so trips to put him back in bed and a lot of crying . Just don't give in , they learn in the end . He got up 4 times last night , but he's learning now .
if she is getting only ten minutes during the day she could be over tired. Try getting her down for a couple hours during the day. If she goes to nursery put your foot down with them about it. Less sugar etc as well
mark not that id like to upset you mate but my little girl didnt sleep untill she was nearly 6 , we did every trick in the book & nothing worked for this little girl, up 5/6 times a night then all of a sudden it stopped almost over night ,,she,s 11 now & we cant get her out of her pit most days
chin up mate , i think most of us have been there , my pal had it the same & he said it was soul destroying but i like to think of it as character building
Hi Mark,
Ive got sympathy in small doses for you but to be honest..........not that much.
We have spent in excess of 50k over the last 9 years on IVF and cant have children. Its now biologically too late for Lorraine.
So I'm sorry your not getting any sleep but thank your lucky stars you have children its the one true blessing and magical gift you can ever have and far to many people just take having Kids for granted.
Sorry for the neg' but its a highly passionate and very very emotive subject with us. Xmas isnt the happiest of times fro us as its all about children but one tries to move on
Anyways I hope you get some more sleep and thing get better for you especially when Santa delivers .

Same as me busyboy. 5 years before my lad slept a full night. It is surprising a baby can destroy two adults in 2 weeks...
If it's any conselation (which I appreciate it probably isnt) my daughters a student at uni now and when she's home can easily sleep til 11.30 in the morning unless me or her mum kick her out of her pit.....
