Love the development still going into these engines, there's still a lot more for them to give with new blocks and the rest

be noce to see but far to expensive and unreliebale imo.,
might aswell use 1 of the many american engines with twin turbo or charger etc for a fraction of the price and can ber rebuilt very easy with parts off the shelf

One question on this did you ask him what his quotes of hp was based on and how many 1000hp YB's has he built to be able to quote that hp,
It doesnt matter how many RS200 he has built as thats not a YB.

Hey Mark, can you machine us all a nice billet 200 block from scratch for a fraction of the cost?

Same thing i mentioned on PF mark, its a strong quote on his engine and i cant see how he can state that with no actual proof.

I do understand the guy has built some wild Rs200 engines but to me that doesnt really make any difference its a totally different engine.

But i hope it does what he quotes

                        HI MARK
wouldnt the same princbles apply to any engine ,if hes using the same materials ,and configaration as a rs 200 then wouldnt the figures cross over aswell , as a engine builder /designer that he his ,wouldnt he have been able to calculate those figures as the 1000 bhp he quoted he said was a starting figure and he spoke of 1300 ,all iam is passing on what he said ,would you not think it very possible as 1600/1800 cc f1 engines were making 1500 bhp 10 years ago

                          hi robert
i think these things can be worked out ,they didnt have practise runs flying to the moon lol .they calculated what they needed and just did it ,in my eyes and i am no expert a rs200 engine is very similar to yb 1800 or 2.1 4 cylinder 16 valve etc

So guessing based on a diff engine. What was turbo inlet manifold and fuel being used for the test.

i dont know mark ,i dont want to seem like i am defending him ,or arguing with you ,but 2o years ago did you think it was possible to get 800/900 bhp out of a yb ,also would you have thought a v8 would make 8500 bhp and do the quarter mile in 3 seconds at 340 mph lol ,did you ever see back to the future when his car was around cowboys and horses and he was sat in a metal box that went on its own and here we are driving cars and flying in things with wings lol
