I sent LOTS of emails direct, along with getting the UK supplier to ask the same questions on my behalf - and didn't get one acknowledgement that they were even investigating - it was as if they just thought that ignoring the issue was the best course of action.

However, it does look like they have instead modded the bodies now from the picture Cosmo has posted, so at least they did SOMETHING.

Nordschleife, there's only two barriers to worry about - the ones on the left and the ones on the right .

        • If you are not worried about lowering it, leave it as it is. LEDA (Len and Dave) have always done it with the small gap, as have GAZ, H&R and AVO....................

I have run agressively this set up for years with NO ISSUES at all.

          • Chris, I can see why they kink tho not sat fully in.

I also thought a pinch bolt did what it says and pinch the hub together , but what your saying is the pinch bolt / shocker bracket takes the weight of the car and not the shocker body?

Thats what I have been told by those who know. The bolt doesn't take the weight, the weight is spread around the hub where the bolt squeezes it together.

                  • After speaking with you earlier on the phone Karl I understand what your saying but if they others above are saying thats how the shockers sit then another reason the car could be sat higher is

the top black spring cup are different between escort and saphs buy about 10mm in height so if you have the wrong one fitted it would raise the car wouldnt it the saph ones are available still from fords were as the escort ones arnt

                            • Personally Karl if it were me I'd elongate the hole the make the collar sit level with the top of the hub.

It won't damage anything and it'll give you the stance you want and hopefully you can have a peaceful nights sleep for once
