Best choice were TRW branded, the ball joint lasted well. But most seem to have an expiration date regardless.

CompBrake ones are ok, I've ran them for 12 years now on countless road trips to the Ring, Norway and loads of track days over the years. No problems. If the ball joint wears in time, then call comp and they'll charge half the price for that half of the TCA.

The best option these days are ones made by MK or Anembo, adjustable and incorporate a spherical bearing instead of the ball joint.

The compbrake used to be trw/Ford, but none of them are no longer avilable today?...

I don’t think so. I had 2nd hand comp ones for 9 years, then bought new ball joint ends from them which are not TRW. But they are a larger size ball joint and are looking good still after 3 years. Worth the cheap money in my opinion.

Most likely the "heavy duty" implies the larger ball joint. When I received my new ball joint sections (as the rose joints were fine to reuse), they were a few millimeters larger than the originals I was using.

I think some have had them machined and new ones pressed in. Less hassle just buying new ones IMO. But I want the MK spherical ones, fit and forget.

well, I was tricked by Compbrake.
The arms are thinner and the pinch bolt smaller than the original ones.
I send an email to tell them that I was not happy because their webshop displays product photos with the Ford V85 references ..... and those I received do not correspond with the photo.
I was kindly explained that it was what I had ordered and that it often sold and that nobody was full.
I have resent an email requesting refund since Friday plus no news from compbrake.
I'm stupid for believing in Compbrake.

That’s a shame to hear, as I say, I can only comment from my own good experience. Did they mention a difference between the 2 available TCA’s?

Looking at the pics at Compbrake site, it is clear that these are not genuine TCAs.
