when i tried some aftermarket ones once the angle of the balljoint was also too steep resulting in the hub cutting through the rubber dust cover , you cant beat genuine ford stuff if you can find any
I'm with Nick here, I tried some aftermarket ones and they just didn't fit right, I ended up getting hold of some good second hand original ones, this was yonks ago though. I see someone has one brand new one on E-BAY but at £175.00! I wonder if Automotive Unlimited might be able to get hold of them.
If that’s the case, just get new ball joints pressed into your originals. For the purists that want original part numbers, it’s the best option I guess
Escort Cosworth front suspension is simple and your safety depends on one ball joint. Messing with it in a wrong way could lead to disaster on the road. I wouldn't do that.
