I don't trust pressed ball joints. Would rather use aftermarket arms instead.

To me a little bit of a difference is to relay on originally factory pressed ball joint than on one which was pressed in a basement by "John".

The pic cochyn posted is mine they took allot of modding to fit my 2wd cosworth as they rubbed off my discs, I modded the tca and got custom brake bells from reyland that give 5mm more clearance than standard and even then its tight.

they are quite a bit bigger than standard arms in both length and height

Cochyn, believe me or not, I am not referring to anyone here.
I only mean that I won't relay on arms fixed this way by someone I don't know.
As I said before - ball joint fault will lead into catastrophy. I am aware of the risk and I do not intend to take it.

Any one testing the Moog's TCA ?

It's any chance for asking TRW remade some batch of their TCA ?
I'd rather be walking that drive Subaru.

Well ive had the compbrake ones on my race car for many years, ive replaced them a few times due to wear in the ball joints, but we all know you can't easily get OE ones anymore.
I'd happliy fit them to my escort if needed I think your overthinking the issue with them.
