I didn't buy or see it as an investment I wanted to get back into an Rs after about 15 years but at some point in the distant future there's a possibility I'll sell it and put the cash towards my mortgage so if the prices rise then all's good

I believe you were on here a few weeks ago questioning values, and did the same on the RSOC site.
Not having a snipe here, but prices are what they are, get over it. If someone has put one away to cash in on a rainy day, then so be it - that is their choice.
I have mine due to is being unusual, you don't see them about - I was out and about the weekend:
been going to that meet for 2 years and haven't seen another yet. Did 85 miles on Sunday, enjoyed every mile.

Bought mine as a toy to use as and when i choose. Anyone buying one
as an investment needs their head looking at imo. There are much
better ways of investing your money with better returns in a shorter
space of time.
I do question your need to keep posting threads regarding the pricing of
Escort Cosworth's though. You can either afford one or you can't, you sir
clearly can't.

I never brought mine as an investment I brought it because i wanted it simple as that.
If its worth 10k 15k 25k or 500k then great but that would not make me sell it.
The car was everything I wanted color, condition, miles etc so as far as Im concerned everything else is irrelevant.sigpic

I do feel like the elite with my escos though i must admit now you come to mention it!
I suppose a RS200 might be a little bit better but really we are looked upon in the RS world as the best of the best.
If you want to be in the elite you have to pay the high prices im afraid as an xr31 in drag just wont cut it young fella me lad!sigpic

I always wanted an RS500 but sadly I cannot afford one anymore
Maybe if I tell all the 500 owners they're wasting their time and money on these old Sierras that every man and his dog has owned at one point they'll take pity on me and sell me one for what I want to pay not what the market dictates
You're becoming quite boring with your constant whinging about the prices, either pay the market value or don't, but don't come on here expecting us to feel sorry for you because you cannot afford to pay what it costs. That's life I'm afraid
