yea sure am, iv always loved the look and wanted one, however i know underneath its sierra running gear, iv owned a few fords in my time including an rst fiesta and escort plus mk5 escorts thats why i just cant agree with some of the prices traders collectors and some owners try to value these at, its basically holding the enthusiasts and guys who would love one to ransom, im not an enthusiast of cosworth its a name to me tbh and know nothing about it apart from they build engines, i know they escort cossies will always be pricey, iv owned alot of nice cars iv worked hard for but personally to me to want over 25k for one is quite greedy and i certainly couldnt justify handing that over for one tbh as to me its always a mk5 escort, and without the spoiler nothing special as to me when you think of a sierra cossie and escort you think of the whale tail

i have yea, hopefully if it runs ok il get it back over motd taxed and use it for the rest of the summer, then maybe strip it for crail and knockhill the following year

Scenario,,, my Mrs wants a new car wants to know what hers is worth so I look about find out what others are selling for for that age and mileage etc etc and I get my price wtf can't you do that instead or creating 12 threads on various sites or wait shall I start a thread asking how much a Fucking mini with 56k is worth??

Sounds to me like you should go back to owning a mk5 escort base model then and leave the cossies to the people who know what they are talking about and if you can't afford the prices for one stop looking and moaning about how expensive they are if you want somthing bad enough you will afford it. Go and buy a jap car if you want to strip it for crail and knockhill and then you can moan on there forums about prices.

Paul has a very nice one up for sale and I was shocked that the price was imo low. The dealers are asking to much but they are all consistent in there prices so who is wrong? Private or trade? If I wanted to sell mine I would not expect 30k for it. When private sellers advertise they usually have a toy they no longer use or want the cash for something else so cannot be bothered waiting around and keep re-advertising- but if dealers are charging what they are and not selling them and private sales are being snapped up quite quick in some circumstances than maybe the true value is in the middle? You tell me?

look at the ones for sale, there not £25k, one for £15k that's a very good price.

yes, if you want a low miler one,then you may have to pay that however I think most escort owners just bought a car that they could afford and look after at the time of buying, most probably did not buy them to park up in their garage.....unlike some people now.

My wife has a subaru, 3-4 years old, it is one of the drive by loose rubber band models, we bought it new, it cost 30 something grand, it take 1 to 2 seconds to respond to a throtle position reduction.

What does everyone think this modern POS is worth ?

Are people buying these as an investment, just putting them in the garage to look at, than suffer the rubbish throttle response.

Prior to this she had a 94 model, now that was a decent car.
